Permission Slip for Secondary Peer Engagement

As part of our Wednesday secondary engagement activities, we have incorporated an optional “Walk and Talk” activity for students and staff to connect and get some exercise.  Our students and staff have stayed on campus for these walks.  However, we look forward to branch off campus to some nearby trails.  By signing and returning the permission form (en español), your student will be able to participate in walks within a 25 minute radius of the ESC.

Building Healthy Communities

  • Have you had a chance to attend a Building Healthy Communities event? This year’s first event is on September 29th from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Educational Support Center (1500 E. 128th Ave). Join us for a showing of Screenagers Next Chapter, a documentary that examines teens’ emotional challenges and the interplay of social media. This film explores the mental health challenges facing teens today and mental well-being. Learn more about what can be done in our schools and homes to help our kids build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age. After the movie, we will have a discussion about how we empower kids to develop skills for stress resilience. You can learn more about the event and register here.
