*This communication is for students in grades 4-5.  Information for our secondary students will be in a separate email.*

Dear FSOA Parents/Guardians and Students, 

We hope you had a great first week of classes! Keep reading for more important announcements.

Elementary Assessment Day - Wednesday, January 15 

  • Please note that Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 is FSOA’s Elementary Assessment Day. At this time, our most accurate testing is formatted for in-person administration. Please make arrangements for your child(ren) to come in-person for their assessments at our main FSOA building (1865 W 121st Ave Suite 100C, Westminster, CO 80234)
  • All students should arrive at FSOA at 8:00 AM. All assessments will be finished by 12:00 (noon). Students will start with a morning snack and then begin testing. While there is no Peer Engagement this day, please note these are the same start and stop times as Peer Engagement.
  • Each student should bring the following materials:
    • Charged District Chromebook and Headphones
    • 2 Sharpened Pencils
    • Water bottle (no colored juice/beverages) and snack, if desired

Phoenix Frolic: A Night Of Movement, Mindfulness, and Family Fun!

  • Join us for the Phoenix Frolic on Thursday, January 30th at 5:00 for an evening of fun and wellness for all ages! We're offering yoga classes and a dance fitness session, both led by certified instructors, plus a pickling & fermentation demonstration from a local expert. You can also enjoy a silent disco, relaxing water art, a sip and craft session, and the chance to help design a community mural. CU Anschutz will host sessions on healthy alternatives, and we'll have the gym open for workouts too!

Colorado Mammoth Game Fundraiser

  • We're excited to announce a fun and action-packed opportunity to support our school! Join us for a Colorado Mammoth lacrosse game on Saturday, February 1, at 7:00 PM at Ball Arena.
  • For every ticket sold, our school receives a portion back to support important programs and activities. Plus, if we sell 50 or more tickets, our students and families will be invited into the fan tunnel to high-five the players as they run onto the field!
