Another great week is in the books!  Please see below for important reminders about upcoming events, including Assessment Day!

Elementary Assessment Day:  Wednesday August 27 

• Please note that Wednesday, August 27, 2025 is FSOA’s In-Person Assessment Day.  The purpose of this day is to test your students in reading and math so that our teachers can plan instruction that is individualized to your student’s needs! 

• We are requesting that your child(ren) come in-person on Wednesday, August 27th from 8:00 - 11:30 in order to complete these assessments.

• We will follow up  next week with details. 

 

Adjusted Schedule:  Wednesday September 3rd

• On Wednesday, September 3rd, FSOA will be running a TUESDAY schedule. 

  • This shift is to ensure a consistent learning experience for students that week, as students have no school on September 1st and 2nd.   

  • No Peer Engagement this date. 

 

Adams 12 Mill Levy Override (MLO)

When compared to nearby school districts, Adams 12 Five Star Schools ranks 14th out of 15 nearby school districts in per student mill levy override (MLO) dollars. That means we have less money than others for ongoing teacher salaries and academic programming. 

We have a solution. If voters pass an MLO in November, the district would secure much-needed funding to invest in safety, world-class staff and academic programming. Learn more.

• While FSOA students currently receive free school meals through our Meal Box program, the future of the Healthy School Meals for All program is unknown for the second semester due to limited state funding.

*Note that students in a special education or ELD class have synchronous meetings in the afternoons on M,T,Th,F.

**All asynchronous work for weeks 3 & 4 will be due on September 8th.  This will count for two weeks of asynchronous attendance.
