Staff elected to President of CCHS/CR Organization
Jaimie Ove was elected President of the Colorado Council on High School/College Relations (CCHS/CR) this year. This not-for profit organization seeks to bridge the gap between high school counselors and college admission professionals to work together to help educate and assist students in achieving their higher educational goals.
CCHS/CR is celebrating its 75th anniversary and Jaimie is in charge of planning the annual conference that hosts over 300 attendees. Since the traditional 75th anniversary gift is diamonds, we're all in for showing off some sparkle! The theme we've identified is "Diamond in the Rough; Perfectly Imperfect". As educators, we can easily see the sparkle in even our most difficult students, yet we frequently stifle our own creativity and development. This year's conference is an opportunity for participants to shine bright and showcase their hidden talents, skills and passions.
"It is a privilege to be apart of such a long-standing organization and I trust that my presidency will honor the traditions of the past as well as look towards the future efforts and sustainability of CCHS/CR." - Jaimie Ove
