FSOA: Benefits for Families (Apply Now!)
Hello Parents and Guardians,
Although school meals are not served at Five Star Online, we encourage every family to complete a Free and Reduced benefits Application. Your family's status on this application will apply for other school and district fees and may also help your student and or family qualify for other school, district and community programs. In addition, our school receives benefits and resources for all students based on how many families complete an application.

Free and Reduced Benefits help families and their schools! Here's How:
- Students can receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch at school locations that serve meals.
- Families can receive 50% off select fees or not have to pay them at all. These include athletic fees, course fees, and activity and field trip fees tied to the curriculum.
- High school students can receive discounts and/or tuition-relief when preparing for their future; which may include course fees, post-graduation planning, scholarships, state and national testing (including SAT, ACT, AP and IB), and post-secondary enrollment.
- Schools receive additional funding from the state to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Families can qualify for additional resources, such as medical, food and cash assistance, and discounted services like internet.
Application Process
- Benefit status does not carry over from the last school year. Families must reapply for benefits each new school year.
- United States citizenship or immigration status is not a condition of eligibility for benefits. Students can receive benefits regardless of their immigration status.
- Applications will be processed as quickly as possible. You will receive your eligibility letter in the mail or by email (please allow up to 10 operating days for a response).
- If you don't have access to the online system contact nutritionmealbenefit@adams12.org or (720) 972-4195 for a paper application.
