This communication is for students in grades 4-5 at FSOA. Information for our secondary students will be in a separate email.*

 

Dear FSOA Parents/Guardians and Students, 

A huge congratulations to our Seniors whose last day of school is today! While it may seem far off to our 4th and 5th graders, we encourage you to continue working hard, so we will get to celebrate your graduation in the future! Keep reading for other important happenings at FSOA.

Wednesday, May 14th

• FSOA will have a teacher inservice day Wednesday, May 14th. 
• We will *not* have Peer Engagement or Virtual Learning Lab on this day.

Save the Date: Student Awards and Continuation

• Save the Date: We will hold an in-person ceremony to honor our students! The ceremony will take place on May 27, 2025 at 6pm.   
  • The following awards will be presented:
    • Make A Difference Awards (elementary, middle, and high school)
    • Continuation for 5th and 8th graders
• Students who will be receiving a Make A Difference Award and all 5th and 8th grade students received a personalized invitation on Thursday, May 1st.

End of Year Celebration

• We're excited to invite you to our End-of-Year Celebration! Join us for a day of fun activities and delicious food on Thursday, May 29th  from 9 - 12 at Five Star Stadium (9351 Washington St. Thornton CO 80229).
• Come celebrate and join us in games for all ages, including a bouncy castle, carnival games, awesome prizes, arts & crafts, and more. Yearbooks (while supplies last), dunk tank tickets, and Sweet Cow ice cream will be available for purchase.

High School Graduation

• Graduation will take place on May 21st, at 3 PM at Macky Auditorium in Boulder. We encourage all FSOA students and their families to join in the celebration.

Yearbook on Sale

• Yearbooks are on sale - get them while supplies last! Yearbooks can be purchased for $40 at the FSOA main office. Families can pay by credit card or with exact change.
• Please contact the main office at 720-972-7430 with any questions.

Peer Engagement Pick-up

• As a reminder, Peer Engagement ends at 12:00, and students should be picked up no later than 12:10. 
• If you need to pre-arrange a later pick-up, please email Assistant Principal Adam Martin at adam.t.martin@adams12.org.
• If an emergency situation arises, please contact the main office at 720-972-7430 or come into the vestibule when you drop off your student to make alternative arrangements.
