Dear FSOA Parents/Guardians and Students,

It was great to see so many of you at both our virtual and in-person conferences this week. It was the perfect send off for our staff as we head into Mid-Winter Break next week. Please keep reading for additional announcements.

Save the Date: State Testing

  • Please take a moment to mark these dates on your calendar for our state testing in the Spring.   
    • In Person Testing:  REQUIRED

        • CMAS ELA and Math (6th-8th grade)

        • CMAS Science (8th grade only)

Skate City Fundraiser

  • Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 4th, from 5:00-7:00 PM, for our Skate City Fundraiser in Westminster (200 W. 121st St.).
  • Admission is just $7—bring your own skates or rent a pair for $5.

Counted Out: Math is Power

  • Join other families from across the district on Thursday, March 13th for a free, special screening of the documentary “Counted Out: Math is Power.” This film focuses on critical issues in math education and their impact on our students' learning experiences. This insightful film delves into the disparities in math education and highlights the importance of equitable access to resources and support for all learners. For more information check out the film’s trailer and the district’s informational flyer.
